French author Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian has written a book series reminiscent of Harry Potter. It's a fantasy series about Tara Duncan and is extremely popular with young adults. So far over 7 million copies of the books have been sold in 11 countries. The series now includes eight books, the eighth having been published very recently. Due to this great success, a cartoon version is now in the works.
